Another Apology

Hello readers,

Yeah…I am really bad at keeping this updated. Yet I wonder how many people even read this. Probably not many since the last post was over six months ago. It’s now summer, not winter.

There’s not much to talk about. It’s really hot here; almost in the 100s everyday. I haven’t gone swimming this summer yet, but hopefully I will soon. I love being back home, surrounded by family and friends. My first year of college was…ok. It could’ve been better, but it could’ve been a lot worse.

I’m still trying to write too many stories at one time, but my goal is to finish at least one this year. Do you think I can do it?

What I’m really trying to do is create a vlog. Have you ever seen vlogbrothers 2.0 on YouTube? No? Then go and check it out! http://www.youtube.com/user/vlogbrothers#p/u/130/ZeQeABFZumg I think I’ll start it in January. That way I can plan ahead for it, which is what I’ve been doing already. Want to know some of it? Yes? Well, you’ll just have to wait until I post my first video. I do plan on calling my vlog “Random Reality” since that what life really is, isn’t it?

Again, sorry for not posting lately. Hopefully, I still have a few loyal reader. To them, I say, “Thank you.” Peace out!

Last Week Before Christmas Break!

Hello readers,

As you see from the title, this is my last week before Christmas break. I am really excited, but this week is also midterms so I have to study even harder to do well. My friends have finals at their college(s) so we are all in the same boat.

Yesterday was julbord. The college I attend was founded by the Swedish and every year the SCAN Club host a traditional Swedish Christmas dinner. Since I am in Swedish 102 right now, and a new member of SCAN Club, I went. Well, that and the fact that this girl in my class was really excited about being able to make her snö pudding. It turns out that it is Swedish. She kept yelling at me to come because she was making her snö pudding. So…of course I had to try it. And it was really good; very sweet. In  fact, everything was really good. There were even two geese. I never had goose before. There was a lot of food. I’m talking about over 31 lb. of meat. That’s a lot of Swedish meatballs! It was totally worth the hype.

So…it’s really really cold out now. When I got up this morning, it was 1ºF. At one point, it warmed up to 10ºF. Someone told me that tonight it was going to be -8ºF. Brrrr!  Here’s a warning: You’ll probably hear me complain about the weather a lot this winter.

There are only 12 days until Christmas!

It’s So Cold…

Hello readers,

I just wanted to give you this short update. As you can see, I’ve changed the quotes, picture, and lyrics. Now they fit the Christmas season. P.S. THERE ARE ONLY 16 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

Not too much has happened. *shrug* It’s snowed a few inches. It’s still cold… Oh! :O My dorm room is freezing! *puts on a coat* I don’t know why. It was hot last week. *puts on gloves* Maybe it’s not on. I’ll have to talk with my CA.

I can’t wait for Christmas break! I miss my friends and family so much! I’m glad there’s only a little over a week until I can go back home! I am going to sleep for hours…

Yes, I realize that this post is lame, but it’s suppose to be short. *shrugs again*

It’s snowing!

Hello readers,

And I don’t just mean on Random Reality. I bet it is snowing wherever you are, too (unless you are somewhere too warm for snow. In that case, I envy you…just a little though ). It has snown since Nov. 30th, but it hasn’t stuck to the ground yet. Today, it has/is and I am a little bit excited. I want to build a snowman, but 1) there is not enough snow yet, 2) it is really cold out, and 3) I have homework to do this weekend. I think the weather calls for 2-7 inches of snow, starting tonight and continuing tomorrow. I could be wrong; the weather changes all the time.

Speaking of this weekend, I told you about my roommate, right? Well, my parents are coming up to help me bunk the beds and re-arrange the furniture so there is more room and the way I want it. I don’t know what time they are coming, but I hope we could go out to eat. The food here at college is not so great. I’m actually missing my high school’s food! I think it will be a lot better once I don’t have to climb a mountain to get into bed. It hurts my feet. My dad made me a latter, but there is no actual place to put it.

I have some bad news. I lost my glove. I know, I know, it is the end of the world as we know it! Here’s what happened: I have a hat now, but instead of wearing it, I put it in my pocket because I wasn’t walking the whole campus that day. When I put my gloves in my pockets, the hat made one barely fit inside. I didn’t pay any attention to it until I went to put on my gloves again. I pulled out one glove and my hat. I didn’t have my other glove! I went to look in the classroom, but I didn’t see it. It must have fallen out when I was in my other/earlier class (which is in the same building). I don’t have that class everyday, just Tues. and Thurs., so I’ll have to wait until Tuesday to see if someone found it. I liked those gloves, too. They had snowflakes on them. Now I am sad.

On a happier note, THERE ARE ONLY 22 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!! And only 14 more days until my Christmas Break!

Countdown to Christmas Begins!

Hello readers,

It’s December! You know what that means: Christmas is coming soon. Not counting today, there are 24 days until Christmas(December 25)! I am excited. Are you? Of course you are (unless you celebrate something else; sorry). I want to put a countdown clock somewhere on Random Reality, but I don’t know how to. If anyone know will you please tell me? Thanks. And I’ll soon be on Christmas break. Yay!

It’s been really cold here lately. I hope wherever you are it is warm. I have (of course) a coat, gloves, boots, and a scarf, but I’m thinking about getting a hat, too. I don’t care if I have hat-hair; at least, I’ll be warm.

That’s all I really wanted to say right now, but I’ll be posting again soon. I can’t let you all go on without knowing how many days until Christmas, can I?

A New Roommate?

Hello readers,

I know I just posted yesterday (and the day before that), but I have more news on my roommate moving out. At first, my CA told me that because it was my roommate leaving, it wouldn’t cost me more money. I thought that since I knew some other people without roommates, I wouldn’t have a new one either. My dad sent an email to the school, asking a few questions. The administration replied back saying that it wouldn’t cost me any more money, but if I wanted to keep being in a single, it would be $500 more to “buy the other bed.” Apparently, if I don’t choose who I wish to be my new roommate, A) I will get a list of other students without a roommate and have to choose or B) will be assigned a new roommate.

First off, I don’t have any friends here. I eat by myself. I walk to class by myself. I do my homework by myself. I am completely alone. I DON’T WANT ANOTHER ROOMMATE! I like being in a single. It was awkward all the time, whether she was in or out of the room. Just knowing she could come in at any moment made me anxious. I said before I didn’t feel as free as I do now. I can watch Fox News in the morning now and dance around the room if I want. I can do whatever I want. I can write my stories without fearing my roommate with come in and critique me on it. I want to have the room my way. At the beginning of the year, I had my bed the way I wanted, but it made the room feel cluttered. My roommate went to our floor’s CA and the made me loft it. So I lost the only spot in the room I felt comfortable. My parents and I are planning to rearrange the furniture this weekend. So…I am pissed and upset.

The End of Thanksgiving Break

Hello readers,

Here is my first post of Random Reality (revamped version):

I am back at school which means Thanksgiving Break is officially over. It also means I have homework to do (since I did none over break). I already miss my family and friends. I can’t wait for Christmas Break in 3 weeks.

My roommate moved out. “What?! UniqueAngel5, you can’t just say that and not expect people to react!” you cry. Yes, my college roommate moved out of the dorm room. But before you get upset, it’s ok. We got alone alright, but she is a Science major and I am an English major so we didn’t really see each other much. And it felt awkward in the room. My ex-roommate is still on the floor; she is now roommates with a girl she knows (maybe they’re in the same class?). I’m actually…glad she is gone. Before I felt like I had no privacy (even though I knew no one was looking over my shoulder, trying to see what I was doing). Now I feel free. It’s my room now.

Random Reality: Revamped

To my handful of readers:

As you know, I haven’t updated since March. I’m sorry. I know many of you must be angry at me, but if you are still reading this…thanks.

I have finally decided that I will be using Random Reality for more than just wishing the world a “Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!” and start using it to write down my life: college, what is the latest drama, maybe some hot-button topics (like religion and politics), etc. You don’t have to read this blog, but I do invite you to come along with me through this journey we call Life.

Still here? Good.

You may also notice there are a few changes: 1) There are more than just 2-3 quotes. I plan to keep many posted. 2) There is a picture on the sidebar. A picture! Yes, I will have a picture of humanity there every so often. 3)What? Lyrics? Yes, I will also have some lyrics posted.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy…

…birthday/anniversary/whatever to me! It has been one year since I started this blog. Wow! Can you believe it?

So…it is 2010 now. Happy New Year! It’s also a snow day! I love snow days! The only bad part is we have assignments to do so we don’t have to make up this day in May.

Let’s see. What else do I have to report? Oh! I almost passed out on Tuesday. It was not good.

We were watching a video about how people treated mental patients so they would get better/lobotomies. I felt…weird(there is no other way to describe it). And then it felt like someone had their hands over my ears and I felt dizzy, but the world wasn’t spinning. I raised my hand and told my teacher I didn’t feel good. He took me to the nurse who made me lay down with me legs up. I felt better then.

I don’t know what caused it. I know it wasn’t the video because things like that never made me feel like that before. It’s happened to my brother, but not to me. I’ve watched CSI’s autopsies, read forensic-y books, and find it just plain interesting. I think it was my blood sugar(it must have been low), but I ate breakfast. Just another mystery…

So… I’ve run out of things to say. Bye!
